Books read

With a broken ankle I have much more time for reading.  Here’s what I’ve read so far:

In Some Other World, Maybe by Shari Goldhagen  — unexpectedly good

Eight Hundred Grapes by Laura Dave — eh.  I couldn’t get into it.

The Woman Who Stole My Life by Marian Keyes — I am a long time fan of Marian Keyes, but this was not my favorite

The Admissions by Meg Mitchell Moore — I read this almost in one day.  It was really interesting especially because I have a teenage daughter.

A Little Life by Hanya Yanagihara — This book was amazing, but devastating.  I am at a complete loss as to what could follow this.

Summer at Little Beach Street Bakery by Jenny Colgan — This was a LibraryThing Early Reviewer book.  It was OK, but really suffered for me because it came after A Little Life.

The Creepshow by Adria Cimino — Another LibraryThing Early Reviewer.  Had potential, but it was just OK.

Did you Ever Have a Family by Bill Clegg — My first audiobook since I fell.  It was great to be able to listen again and I really enjoyed this book even though it was terribly sad.
